Eric Benari brings over 25 years of senior level corporate management experience in global business development, marketing and sales to the U.S. Government and Commercial private sectors with extensive contacts Internationally and domestic. He has expertise in strategy planning, mergers and acquisitions, development and establishment of presence in new markets, identification and set up of supply chains and subcontracted services, business operations and expanding revenue sources.
He provided consulting and operational assessment services regarding merger, acquisition and investment with prospective clients to the CEO of FEFC Corporation – an entity in partnership with the state of Florida providing financial and business development assistance to companies wishing to expand business exports of their products into new markets.
He appears as a guest lecturer and advisor on developing and conducting business with the U.S. Government and utilization of GSA and other procurement processes. He has extensive experience in performance of road show type campaigns introducing innovative business ideas, business value products and services to prospective end users. He served during military combat campaigns and completed with honors military service with the Israeli Defense Force (IDF).
Mr. Benari received his mechanical engineering training at the Israel Technum School of Engineering and attended the City University of New York Baruch School of Business Administration. He is fluent in, English, Spanish, Italian and Hebrew languages as well as able to communicate in German, Polish and Japanese.
Eric Benari joined LKQ Corporation in September 2008 and served as VP New Markets Business Development.
During his tenure his responsibilities included, expanding into new markets; developing new sources of revenue and expand existing sales; preparing the company and commence initiatives for doing business with US Government; Identifying and expanding company export business internationally; Identifying acquisition or merger targets to include International expansions.
His accomplishments included; Setting up the company as a US Government vendor to include Federal, State and Local -Government agencies including and Allies Countries abroad; Training of Corporate National managers in doing business with US Government; Negotiate Agreements with supporting suppliers; Building a base of export customers in the Central and Latin American markets; Building a core customer base for doing business in the Arabian Gulf countries; Commence sales with the U.S. Forces and Key U.S. Government contractors; Mapping prospective business / sales targets for nearly 300 LKQ facilities; Prepared annual budgets for Business Development activities.
Eric Benari – served as President of MegaShield from March 2005 – 2008. A company specializing in providing business development, marketing, technology integration and consulting services thru – access, knowledge and action to navigate existing and new markets, establish Foreign targets for sales, distribution and logistical support services. Armored vehicles products and related components for the commercial and military sectors as well as add-on non OEM systems for light, medium and heavy vehicles are among the company core competencies.
Prior to joining MegaShield, Eric Benari was employed (1993-2005) by Ziv / Megaseal corporation providing vehicle preservation and maintenance solutions. Joining as Director of marketing, he was appointed in late 1995 to Vice President of Business development. As a senior corporate representative, he secured contracts in Europe, UK, the Middle East, Arabian Gulf and Pacific Far East, developed new facilities and operational logistical infrastructure, mergers and subcontracted support services on behalf of corporate clients and the U.S. Military. He routinely worked with senior business leaders, military and government officials. He often provided briefings to senior U.S. Military flag officers and decision makers in the areas of vehicle preservation technologies, extending equipment life cycles and related counter terrorism solutions.
In 1998 he was appointed as President serving in this position until early 2005. During his tenure the company was awarded several ratings of Excellence in contract performance by military commanders. He is a recipient of Army recognition for merit in support of Operation Enduring Freedom at the inception of the Iraq war.
Prior to Megaseal, Mr. Benari was employed as manager of special projects and later manager for overseas operations at TRACOR a billion dollar company with several groups. In this capacity he had responsibility and oversight on developing new business and operational contract performance to include accountability for growth and profits. Among the many company clients, significant work was performed on behalf of U.S. Navy, Exxon, Shell Oil and the Maritime Administration. During nearly 10 years at Tracor he established new facilities in Europe, UK, Middle East, Hawaii, Japan and Singapore.
